About the SchoolSchool Philosophy - Janis Anderson
"At the age
of 9, I knew that I wanted to dance. Classical Ballet was my first love and
still is. I have always believed that if you have been trained in Classical
Ballet, all other forms of dance look much better. For a child growing, the
discipline of ballet and the way that it helps to stretch and strengthen our
bodies gives a posture and style no other can give."
"My mission
as a fully trained teacher and Member of the Imperial Society of Teachers of
Dancing is to bring classical ballet to all. And for 36 years, I hope I have
achieved my goals in giving each child a great sense of achievement through exam
success and enjoyment through involvement in shows and productions."
"My mentor
was Betty Hassall, Principal of The Hammond School of Dance. If I have any of her
wonderful qualities, I would be truly happy."
